{Declaring + Wearing} The sweetest gift arrived fr {Declaring + Wearing} The sweetest gift arrived from a friend I have not seen in 25+ years! 🤯 We re-connected several years ago on social media and after hearing me in stories the past few months repeatedly share Isaiah 53:5 and declare over Colby he is “Thriving, Healthy, Healed” she sent us these shirts. 😭 The sweetest gift!

The doctors might say one thing. The lab reports and CT scans might reveal another. But we choose to cling to the report of the Lord and speak life over Colby’s body and health. Colby is thriving, healthy and healed, in Jesus’ name! 🙌🏼💪🏼

I am grateful that because of the generosity of a thoughtful friend we cannot only declare the truth but wear it too! 👊🏼🗣👕
{Encouragement} I might not be able to go to Colby {Encouragement} I might not be able to go to Colby’s chemo treatments with him but that hasn’t stopped me from sending declarations, verses, prayers, words of truth and MORE! 🙌🏼🎉

We could have chosen to agree with the pathology report, CT scan, weekly lab results or the doctor’s opinion but thankfully we know there is power in our words so instead we have chosen to agree with the Word of God and speak LIFE! 👊🏼
{Chemo Update} Cycle 2 of Colby’s chemo is compl {Chemo Update} Cycle 2 of Colby’s chemo is complete! ✅

Cycle 2 can be summarized much like cycle 1, uneventful! A few things to recap the cycle:

Colby had 0 pain and discomfort, no headaches or other side effects. I keep calling him a walking miracle! Truly, it’s a testimony!

Similar to cycle 1 his blood cell counts were low so he received 2 more shots to help increase his numbers.

I went with him every day to his treatments during cycle 1, but this time around I wasn’t allowed which was a bummer but Colby did just fine on his own.

Overall Colby had more energy this cycle and was much more active around the house, even lifting very light weights and walking up and down the stairs and using the trampoline for exercise. It was so great to see him up and moving more and I was very grateful to have him helping with house duties a little more too! 😉

Perhaps the biggest thing to note came yesterday when Colby shaved his head, which I think anyone who is in that situation can say it comes with mixed emotions, but overall we are just thankful he FEELS great! In my opinion he looks great too ☺️

Other than that, there is not a whole lot happening for Colby - just lots of resting, reading and pool time! 👍🏼

Next Up: Cycle 3, the LAST CYCLE, of chemo starts tomorrow. Colby will have 3-4 hours of injections every day this week and additional brief treatments the following 2 weeks.

Praise reports:
🙌🏼 An uneventful cycle 2
🙌🏼 Colby feels great and is healthy and healed, amen!
🙌🏼 No side effects

Prayer requests:
🙏🏼 The chemo does exactly what it is supposed to do and eradicates any remaining cancer
🙏🏼 His blood cells to increase and come into alignment
🙏🏼 All his organs will be protected
🙏🏼 He will be protected from sickness and infections
🙏🏼 No side effects

Thank you so much for praying!!! We are fully believing Colby will be declaring he is completely healed from stage 3 cancer at the end of cycle 3! Won’t He do it! 👊🏼
{Jesus The Healer} This song was released 3 days b {Jesus The Healer} This song was released 3 days before Colby started chemo and it’s been on repeat ever since! 😭💥 Thank you @lindy_cofer and @elyssasm for writing this song — forever grateful! 💛🎶

The captions aren’t working correctly in the video but the lyrics are below. 👊🏼

Here in faith we grab the hem of your robe
From where the mercy will flow
Jesus is the Lord
Sickness bondage and disease,
O it must bow its knee for Jesus is the Lord
Jesus the healer

Jesus the healer
And by your stripes we are healed

I believe it
I believe it now
I believe you heal
Even if i don’t see it yet
I believe it
You’re the healer

{Cancer Update} “You have cancer.” Three word {Cancer Update}

“You have cancer.” Three words no one ever expects to hear.

It’s not the first time my husband has heard those words. Colby was first diagnosed with cancer 18 years ago. The likelihood of cancer returning is small, but possible. However, the likelihood of cancer returning 18 years later is almost never heard of.

It’s been 7 weeks since we received the news and I have finally caught my breathe enough to give a more in depth update of what the past 7 weeks have looked like for us.

You can listen to a very detailed update on episode 145 of @acupfullofhopepodcast, which you can find on any podcast app, OR I gave a brief update on my blog which you can visit by clicking the link in my profile.

We want to thank each of you who have prayed for us and supported us through this journey. We are forever grateful for all the love we have received and can’t wait for the day Colby testifies He is completely cancer free. 💛🙌🏼

{Verses for Healing} There are so many verses we h {Verses for Healing} There are so many verses we have clung to during our 10+ year infertility journey. Never did I ever think we would need these for a cancer diagnosis too.

But what I do know is I am so thankful! I am so thankful I know what God’s heart is for Colby’s body. I am so thankful that I hid these verses in my heart prior to hearing the words “you have cancer.” I am so thankful that just a week before Colby was diagnosed I had finished going through the Gospels and writing down every time Jesus healed someone. I am so thankful for God’s Word as it’s been the very thing that has carried us through not only through infertility but now cancer too.

Be encouraged that the same God who heals a cold is the same God who heals cancer! Healing is the children’s bread! It’s your portion and inheritance as a Believer. If you have never encountered Jesus as healer, don’t wait until you are sick to do so. Meditate on these scriptures today and receive a revelation of the healing power that is available to you!

Save this post so you can refer back to these scriptures. If you want more scriptures, you can also go to the link in my bio and click the 3rd blue bar for a full list including a free printable too. #induetimeblog
{House Testimony} One year ago today we closed on {House Testimony} One year ago today we closed on and moved into our home! 🏡 The journey from when we started dreaming of a home to moving in has been one of the most evident times in my life where I have seen God’s goodness and faithfulness on display. I don’t think a day goes by where we don’t thank the Lord for this home and talk about how much we love living here. 💛

As we navigate infertility and a cancer journey, our house testimony is one that I have clung to over and over. The same God who made a way in an impossible market to bring us a home is the same God who will make a way in an impossible situation to bring life to Colby’s body and children to our family. Can I get an Amen? 🙌🏼

How kind of the Father that the very place we live now would become the testimony we would stand on for this next season of life. All we have to do is wake up and open our eyes to be reminded that nothing is too hard for our God! 💪🏼

As you can tell from this reel the backyard is our favorite place to be. 😎 We knew we wanted a pool, but the backyard the Father brought us is more than we could have asked or dreamed of. He paints us a new sunset every night and gave us lake access too. To say we are grateful is an understatement. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness, kindness and blessings! 😭

PS. If you haven’t heard the testimony of our house, you can listen to it on episode 106 @acupfullofhopepodcast. If you are facing an impossible situation or you are looking for a home in this market, I want to encourage you that He is no respecter of persons. What He did for us, He will do for you too! 👊🏼
{Happy 4th} What a gift to celebrate America today {Happy 4th} What a gift to celebrate America today! 🇺🇸 Cancer and CV didn’t stop us from celebrating this amazing country we love so much!

The highlights were spending the day with my healthy husband, 5+ hours of pool time, surprising Colby with ice cream (a fun treat for finishing cycle 1 of chemo), delicious burgers for dinner, watching fireworks on our patio and doing sparklers in the pool. Today looked different than we thought considering we were supposed to be out of town but it’s simple days like this with Colby that I do not want to take for granted. I’m so thankful! 😎

How was your 4th? Did you do anything fun? 💥
{Chemo Update} Praise the Lord… Cycle 1 of Colby {Chemo Update} Praise the Lord… Cycle 1 of Colby’s chemo (3 weeks of treatment) is complete! ✅

If you were to ask Colby how cycle 1 went he would tell you “uneventful.” Praise God for that! Before chemo started, we had a 30-min call with the PA who listed every possible and likely side effect Colby would experience but we said NO! We prayed (and we know so many of you did to) against side effects and we are so thankful to share Colby experienced 0 side effects except a minor headache last week. The doctors and nurses are surprised, but we are not!! 🙌🏼

His blood cell counts have been extremely low, which is a result of the chemo, so he received an injection to help increase those. 👊🏼

Perhaps the biggest hiccup of cycle 1 came when I tested positive for CV. But praise God, minus the congestion, I feel good and more importantly, the Father completely protected Colby and he did not get it.

When we were not at the hospital for treatment, the rest of Cycle 1 can be recapped by Colby spending a lot of time resting and reading and me trying to navigate caretaking, working, baking yummy things for him, and all the other things that come alongside of a cancer diagnosis (lots of medical/billing phone calls, etc). We celebrated my birthday pool-side and have watched a lot of sunsets. I got to spend a weekend away at a conference with friends. And we received lots of love from so many generous people who have been blessing us with gift cards for meal delivery, food drop offs, gifts in the mail (hello Nintendo Switch) and more.

Next Up: Cycle 2 of chemo starts this Tuesday. Colby will have 3-4 hours of injections every day and additional treatments the following 2 weeks.

Praise reports:
🙌🏼 A {mostly} uneventful cycle 1
🙌🏼 Colby feels great and is healthy
🙌🏼 No side effects
🙌🏼 Colby staying protected from CV.
🙌🏼 The generosity of so many

Prayer requests:
🙏🏼 His blood cells to come into alignment
🙏🏼 The chemo does exactly what it is supposed to do — eradicates cancer
🙏🏼 All his organs will be protected
🙏🏼 He will be protected from CV and other sickness/infections
🙏🏼 No side effects

Thank you so much for praying!!! 💛
