15 Verses to Declare Over Anxiety and Fear
Have you ever considered yourself an anxious or fearful person? Did you know that God did not create you that way and it’s not his desire for you? God has actually created you to live in perfect peace.
I want to point out that fear is not an emotion, but partnering up with fear is actually becomes a choice and is a spiritual issue, not an emotional issue (hence why I have been sharing so much about spiritual warfare over the past few weeks). The amount of fear you experience is a result of the amount that you allow which means that fear is not something that is passed down from generation to generation and it’s not something you will always deal with it, unless of course you allow that to be the case.
So How do you get rid of fear and anxiety? How do you live in peace? Well it’s not by getting rid of all your problems, because that will never happen. It’s not by going on some amazing vacation. It’s not by getting along with everyone around you. While those things would be great, finding true, Biblical peace only happens when you walk in life-union with Christ and partner with him, not the things of this world and certainly not the things of the enemy, because yes, fear and anxiety are always from the enemy. As you root yourself in the truth of God’s Word, you will be set free from all fear and anxiety.
God’s Word says that you can and should walk in peace and it’s time to start speaking the truth over your situation instead of succumbing to living in anxiety and fear. Remember, it’s not God’s job to remove the fear or peace from you, but it’s your job to command it all to flee, just as scripture says in James 4:7. This isn’t going to happen overnight and it’s certainly not going to happen by reading one scripture a day. It’s going to take you choosing to think like Christ all day long which means you have to renew your mind day by day. You have to read the Word and listen to the Word. What goes in your mind, eyes and ears must come out, so if you keep putting garbage in every day, then garbage will come out. But if you put the Word of God in every day, then the fruit you will produce will be that of the Word of God which will include peace.
I hope the list below helps you, but it’s going to take much more than one blog post to set you free. Whatever you get from this blog post, please understand how important it is to know the Word of God and know that you don’t have to be someone who puts up with anxiety and fear any longer. God didn’t send his only son for to live bound to either so it’s time to seek freedom by rooting yourself in truth and declaring the Word over your life. In order to help, I have included a printable for you to use as well, which you will find at the bottom of this post.
