2 Corinthians 3:17 Freedom in Christ #215
I find myself continually telling a good friend of mine the same two things over and over in our daily conversations: I want to access all that God has for me and I want to walk in more and more freedom. I talked about accessing the things of God here and today I want to share one of my favorite verses on freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
We know that the Lord is the Spirit because the trinity is made up of God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. And the second half of this verse tells us that“where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Freedom is a topic I love learning more about and a topic I love sharing about. Why? Because it’s important and it’s what Jesus paid for. When Jesus died on the cross, it cleansed us from all sin and all bondage. We were set free and covered in his freedom and grace. We forever get to live a life of freedom because of him.
But, is that how you live? Are you tapping into that freedom? Are you living in that freedom?
God desires abundant life for you and part of living abundantly and accessing all he has to offer is living in complete freedom. It’s time to stop living in bondage to your finances, your health diagnosis, your job, your infertility, your past or your sin. I don’t know what might be keeping you in bondage, but God wants you to cling to who you are in Christ and live in the freedom that he bought, paid for and desires for you!
