When you think of your sin, what comes to mind? Do you begin to beat yourself up over your past mistakes? Do you ponder on all the things you have done wrong?

I want to remind you today that grace triumphed over all your sins! Your past ones, present ones and future ones.

To provide some context, before salvation, your identity was sin. But the gift of grace, that Jesus provided, paved the way for you to live in righteousness. Is that amazing?

This grace message is made very clear, especially in Galatians and Romans. Romans 6:11 says, “Since you are now joined with him, you must continually view yourselves as dead and unresponsive to sin’s appeal while living daily for God’s pleasure in union with Jesus, the Anointed One.”

Do you view yourself as joined to Christ just as Romans 6:11 says?? If so, then you would understand your sin is dead and unresponsive. Dead!

Yet how many Christians do you know that continually beg God to forgive them of their sin? “I am a sinner” is a common phrase we hear people say, but the reality is you and I are not sinners, we are actually saints! We are not bound to our past, we are free from our past. We are not sinners, we are clothed with righteousness.

I encourage you to spend time in God’s Word until this reality sinks in. God doesn’t see you in your brokenness because when he looks at you he sees his son. He loves you so much which is why he sent his son to die for you! You are his pleasure and He made the way for you to walk in life-union with Jesus! What a gift that too many are missing out on today!

I know I have shared this message over and over but it’s one I won’t stop sharing! You are joined to Christ! You are ALIVE in Christ Jesus because he is alive today. Let’s start living this out. Let’s start taking full advantage of the gift of walking in union with Jesus!
