28 Dec A Time for Everything
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is a time for everything. Everything? Everything! Well then my question is, “When is it my time Lord?” As another year comes to a close, it sure doesn’t seem like there is a “time for everything.” Another year gone. Another year of waiting, praying, believing, expecting and hoping. Another year of unanswered prayers. Another year of no baby.
This verse, Ecclesiastes 3:1, reminds me that there is a specific time for everything. Everything.
Yes, I am still waiting for my babies. Yes, I am disappointed that it’s been another year. Yes, I am tired of waiting. But God is never early or late, because he is always, always, always right on time.
Although the calendar is changing to a new year, nothing changes what God is doing. God isn’t bound by time, because he rules over all eternity. His work doesn’t restart on January 1st, but it continues. While we have such a limited mindset, especially when it comes to time, God isn’t bound to days, weeks, months or years. He isn’t restrained by timetables or calendars. He isn’t restricted by the due date we give him.
Nothing about the new year that is approaching should change anything about your wait. It shouldn’t deter your hope. It shouldn’t discourage your faith. Absolutely nothing about a new day or a new year negatively affects what God is doing.
Keep on believing, hoping, declaring, praying and expecting. Sooner, rather than later, you will reap your harvest. It might not be how you want or when you want, but God is working out all the details now to bring your promises forth in his time because God always has a perfect “time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not grow weary.” Galatians 6:9
“This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” Habakkuk 2:3

Posted at 09:45h, 28 DecemberGirl! Yes, this right here: “Keep on believing, hoping, declaring, praying and expecting. Sooner, rather than later, you will reap your harvest. It might not be how you want or when you want, but God is working out all the details now to bring your promises forth in his time because God always has a perfect “time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”” So good. Thank you for always inspiring me to be hopeful in the midst of despair. <3

Posted at 16:02h, 28 DecemberLove everything about this post. It is such a good reminder. My husband and I have struggled to get pregnant for 6 years. We have 2 failed IVFs. On the 2nd one, I realized God was saying, give me control and let go! I will answer your prayers in my perfect timing and in my perfect way. Putting my faith, hope and trust in God has been liberating. Is it still painful? Yes, but it’s less painful. Thank you for this! May God bless you in His perfect time!

Posted at 20:32h, 28 DecemberGod’s timing is sometimes so outside the scope of our comprehension, but in due time…everything will come to be as He has planned. Holding this one close ❤
