24 Aug An Invitiation

What has been the best invitation you have received? What if you were offered an invitation to be promoted? Can you imagine being invited to receive an upgrade? God not only invites you to know him as your Heavenly Father when you accept him as your Savior, but he has a deeper calling on your life, too. While his initial invitation is to be in relationship with him, there is so much more that he has for you. It doesn’t just stop when you initially say yes. In fact, it just keeps getting better and better.

Do you realize that your hardships are invitations to a deeper relationship with Jesus? Every trial you face is potential to know him on a deeper and more intimate level. Your trial, your struggle and your tears aren’t meant to tear you away from the Lord, but they are meant to bring you closer. While his heart is to invite you into an upgrade in the Spiritual realm, it’s up to you to recognize and pursue that.

How do you think you will become stronger? More patient? More understanding? More aware? How do you think you will learn to persevere? To trust? What about gaining a deeper level of faith? It’s not going to be by sailing smoothly through life. It’s going to be by facing hardship and difficulty.

God is inviting you to a greater level of intimacy with him. Don’t miss out on the invitation he has blessed you with. He is waiting for you, arms wide open! Don’t let anything deter you from saying yes to the greatest invitation of all — him!

So, friends, confirm God’s invitation to you, his choice of you. Don’t put it off; do it now. 2 Peter 1:10
