Every Spiritual Blessing

Ephesians 1:3 Spiritual Blessings #197

Do you realize just how blessed you are? Even if you are the middle of a hard situation, you are still so blessed. So very blessed. That is easy to forget though, right? The weariness is sometimes all you might feel, the difficulty in front of you is sometimes all you see, but Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.”

Through Christ you have been blessed with “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” Every spiritual blessing. Not just some of them or a few of them, but every one. The blessing that belong to you go way beyond the blessings of this earth and way beyond the material blessings, because they are from heaven.

What might these blessings look like? Well they are all priceless in value. And if you think about it, every blessing relates to every promise in Scripture. The blessing that God is always with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). The blessing that you are co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). The blessing that God is your portion (Lamentations 3:24). The blessing that God will help and sustain you (Psalm 54:4).

The list could go and on and on and it would take me weeks to write all the spiritual blessings that belong to you. And the beautiful thing is even though they aren’t as important and pale in comparison to the spiritual blessings, God has blessed you with so many earthly blessings too.

If you have focused too much on the mountain in front of you and not on the blessings around you, I encourage you to take a journal and write each blessing down. One by one, list everything you are grateful for, both spiritually and materially. Pretty soon you will see just how truly blessed you are.

Yes! Way too easy to whine “God, why aren’t you blessing me here on earth?” He has promised life here will be full of trials but He has ALSO promised to always be with us and to never change from the good God He is!!
