Ephesians 3:20 Immeasurably More #201
Here I am, posting the 201st verse. I shared this verse in 2013, but I can’t think of a more appropriate verse following the Moms in the Making weekend. I am still processing everything from the weekend so more to come soon, but for now I want to share Ephesians 3:20 which says this, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”
This verse was read at our wedding and although it felt so true then, I had no idea how it would continue to play such a role in my life. I had some bad break-ups and some long-term relationships that ended bad, which was the reason I wanted it read at our wedding, because the Lord brought me someone so much better. He did immeasurably more than I could have asked or imagined. As women, we all had or have that ideal guy in mind, but wow – did the Lord blow me away. The beautiful thing about it is, this verse didn’t apply just when we were dating, but it still holds true; the amount of love that Colby pours out to me every day is just so rich and so abundant all praise goes to the Lord.
And the Moms in the Making conference? Wow! Wow! Wow. I can’t say enough. God was in every detail and he did so much more than we could have asked or imagined. Like above and beyond. It was “him who was able to do immeasurably more” and we got to reap the goodness of it all.
Well you know what? This verse is true for you too. God wants you to ask him for big things and when you do it shows that you have faith that he can do the impossible. You can trust that when you ask him according to his will, he will do abundantly more than what you have asked of him. I feel like the abundance in this verse is too difficult to put into words. I just love that instead of just giving us what we ask, God loves us so much, that he exceeds our request.
God wants to take all of your impossible situations and bless them with more than your human mind could ask or imagine. This is what he has already done in my life and I know he wants to do the same in yours too. He isn’t going to answer your prayers like you want him to, he is going to answer them immeasurably more than you could even imagine. Praise Him!
He is a God of MORE. He is a God of PLENTY. He is a God of LAVISH. He is a God of RICHES. He is God of PROSPERITY. He is a God of ABUNDANCE. He is a God of EXTRAVAGANCE.
