Give Thanks – Psalm 107:1 – #113

It seems appropriate to share a verse on thankfulness as we celebrate thanksgiving this week. Psalm 107:1 says, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”

No matter what trial you are facing, I always think it’s so important to focus on the blessings in life. Not just around thanksgiving, but always. No matter how hard life might be right now, I bet you could come up with a very long list of reasons to be thankful. If you don’t know where to start, the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness is a blessing in itself. He is always love and kind and His love for you will never, ever end.

Psalm 107:2 in the Passion Translation says, “So, go ahead-let everyone know it! Tell the world how he broke through and delivered you from the power of darkness.” The Lord desires for you to share about how blessed and thankful you are. He wants you to tell the world about it because when you do, freedom and breakthrough happen! Thankfulness shuts out room for darkness and room for the enemy to come in!

Let us all give our praise and thanks to the Lord. Today and always, choose thankfulness!

With all the junk in our world these days, I’m trying hard to get my focus just right and show my inner joy that comes from the Lord. Your picture helped. Shine on.

I’ve been pretty convicted this week on how I let my circumstances so easily get me “unhappy”. Thinking about what Christ did for me, and set me free from should make me happy all day, every day.
