Help Lord, I’m Tired

This week I’m feeling the enemy’s presence. I’m a little worn out and emotionally exhausted, but the Lord reminded of this sermon. Despite my exhaustion, the Lord has continued to be so sweet and he has given me strength. But I know I am not the only who is worn out, right?

Are you tired? Do you feel like your strength and hope need to be renewed? This isn’t just about being tired physically, although when we are tired physically, it affects us in other areas, but what about being tired emotionally, spiritually, and mentally? You might be tired of being single, tired of waiting for a job, tired of your marriage, tired of paying bills, tired of waiting for a baby and the list could go on and on.

As always, I loved Tim Dilena’s recent sermon on this topic. He reminded me that in John 4:6, Jesus was tired too. Jesus can relate to exactly how we feel.

Think about what you are waiting for. What about the waiting process makes you tired? It probably isn’t the thing you are waiting on, but instead it’s the length of how long you have to wait. If you have only been waiting a day, you probably are doing just fine, but if it’s been months or even years, you are probably exhausted. When exhaustion hits us it is easy to choose our own path. It seems easier to pursue the end result instead of being patient on the journey it takes to get us there.

But, what you have to remember is there is always purpose in the waiting. God’s road always leads you somewhere. He doesn’t take you on a journey to waste time or for there to be no purpose. His journeys always have purpose and they always produce character and fruit.

You might think “that’s great Caroline. I know that I am supposed to stay on course with him, but where will my hope and energy come from?” When you are at the end of your rope and exhausted, you need to remember that at your very best, you are still weaker than God’s weakest point. You don’t have to have the energy and strength, but God is the one who will give you strength when you are weary. It’s time to tap into that strength by asking him for your strength to be renewed every day! It’s a daily commitment to look to Him for strength. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

No matter how much you feel like you are stuck in a vicious cycle and the road seems long and you are ready to give up, just keep pressing forward and choosing hope. There is always hope and strength to be found in every situation if and when you choose to put your trust in Him! “Even if you are in tears today, joy comes in the morning!” Psalm 30:5

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

One of my all time favorite verses. It just gives so much peace when reading it. I hope you re-gain some strength this weekend surrounded by people who will surely lift you up.

You are so right too…It’s not necessarily just what you’re waiting for, but also the amount of time you’ve been waiting. Thank you for the reminder to continue trusting in God and to TRY to be patient on the path we’re traveling, no matter how many twists and turns. Have a great weekend sweets! 🙂

Love that verse. The little prayer I said this morning was so very close to this post. I know my hope is wavering…and asked for strength. Your faith is so undeniable and I know that it will continue to push you forward and lift you up. Big hugs to you today.

I love the point that the longer we wait, the more tiring things get. Waiting was fun/exciting in the beginning of our ttc journey, but when treatment after treatment failed and month after month past, I was so tired. Praise the LORD He can renew our strength.

Praying for rest and that your strength is renewed as you rest in the arms of your Father. He is the giver of rest and peace when we are tired. Praying for a wonderful trip…how fun and sounds like will be filled with blessings 🙂

Super jealous you get to see Beth Moore! I got to see her last year and it was so amazing, I’m in awe of how the Lord has blessed her ministry! Sorry to hear you’ve been worn down this week, satan loves to attack us when we’re weary! But I’m happy you have sensed his presence and can pray against in attacks and find strength in the Lord! Have a great trip!!

I hope that you have a great rest of a weekend and ready to go again next week. It is so hard when its the waiting game. It just keeps on going and it feels you get no reprieve sometime – but the end result is GOOD. When its all said and done and the waiting is over – it will all be forgotten.

I have great faith in the Lord. After 13 years of ttc he brought a beautiful baby girl to my brother&Sister-in-law. It’s a waiting game worth waiting when the Lord is by your side.

I love this and amazing that reading it today our Pastor said the same passage this morning in church – Even if you are in tears today, joy comes in the morning! Psalm 30:5. That even if you have to fall down 7 times, get up on the 8th, the 9th etc. The important part is that you keep getting back up and remembering that its okay to fall down/get weary, but getting back up is so important.

I’ve had treatment from a number of different doctors, Toronto, and New York, but Dr. Camala the herbal doctor is the best I’ve experienced. He’s very good at considering your whole situation, so he’s not treating the symptoms, but their underlying causes. My herpes is gone, i have run several test to check myself and am fully cured of herpes through the use of Dr. Camala herbal medicine. He is a very nice and understanding to talk to regarding health issues and i will advice you give him a contact, dont wait for whatever disease you have to bring you down without consulting Dr. Camala, he is good at what he does. email him: [email protected] or whatspp him +2349055637784
