Isaiah 41 - barrenness to pools of water

Isaiah 41:18 Pools of Water #177

It’s so easy to focus on what is right in front of you, right? So much so, that so often you probably forget that God has an abundance of resource at his fingertips. He can change any situation in an instant, but how many times are you so focused on your problem that you lose focus of all he is able to do?

Often throughout scripture God references how the rain will come and wash away the pain. I love what Psalm 84:6 says,“Even when their path winds through the dark valley of tears, They dig deep to find a pleasant pool where others find only pain. He gives to them a brook of blessing, Filled from the rain of an outpouring,”  which is a verse I have covered before. Today, I want to share another verse about the power of water in ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:18‬ ‭GNT‬‬ which says, “I will make rivers flow among barren hills and springs of water run in the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water and the dry land into flowing springs.”

So what does God do in barren situations? He makes rivers flow! If you can imagine, a dry and desolate area of land is able to fill up in an instant with water once it starts raining, right? Well God has that same power too. He is able to turn anything that is desolate into a pool of water. He doesn’t just bring a couple drops of water, but he wipes out all barrenness with a flood. And the dry land? It will be dry no longer because he turns it into flowing springs.

God can take the most barren parts of your life, whether physically, financially, mentally, spiritually or something else and bring water to them all. His long list of resources is capable of bringing life to any situation. And who will get all the glory when water washes away your barren lands? Him, of course! Seek him in the desolate seasons and trust that he will turn the “dry land into flowing springs.”

Such a beautiful visual to think of those dry cracked areas that God can cause those floods of fulfillment to flow. LET IT RAIN 😉
