Jesus Calling #12 and Guests Posts

Guest Posts – #1 and #2
I hope you got a chance to check out my guest post on Wednesday regarding the topic of Sarah and Abraham’s story. Also, another post is up today about how to stay joyful no matter what the circumstances are. There are so many great devotions on the Faithful Devotions so if you have never checked them out, I encourage you to do so!

Mentoring Moments
Also, Kellie the founder over at Mentoring Moments asked that I join her team of writers to provide encouragement, mentoring and tips for women for their walks with the Lord. I humbly accepted and my first post will be published next week. The year of 2013 is all about the fruits of the spirit and my topic will be about regarding self-control. I look forward to sharing it with everyone.

Jesus Calling
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted from Jesus Calling, even though every day the Lord speaks to me through this devotion. My favorite part of today’s post is the reminder that ‘there are sparking surprises just around the bend’. Yes, Lord, we are ready and waiting expectantly for those! If you have never seen or read any of these, just a reminder that this is spoken from God’s perspective.

Keep walking with Me along the path I have chosen for you. Your desire to live close to Me is a delight to My heart. I could instantly grant you the spiritual riches you desire, but that is not My way for you. Together we will forge a pathway up the high mountain. The journey is arduous at times, and you are weak. Someday you will dance light footed on the high peaks; but for now, you walk is often plodding and heavy. All I require of you is to take the next step, clinging to My hand for strength and direction. Though the path is difficult and the scenery dull at the moment, there are sparking surprises just around the bend. Stay on the path I have selected for you. It is truly the path of Life.

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand. Psalm 37:23-24

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:11

Jesus calling is one of my favorite devotionals. I love how God is using you to share his message and to encourage women and men alike via this platform. Definitely thrilled to support my sister in Christ as you do the Lord’s work. I am going to head over and check out your guest post and Mentoring Moment’s right now. I pray you are having a wonderful Friday!!

Has anyone told you lately how awesome you are? Seriously! I really appreciate how you take the time to lift others up, so thank you for that.

Every time I get weary, I will remind myself that it’s only a matter of time until we are dancing light footed on high peaks…love that! Have a great weekend!

So encouraging… Nancy shared Jesus Calling with me the other day… and I took a photo of it at the time because I didn’t have time to really take it in.

I’ll be sharing this one with her. God spoke through that book, then you, today, for me and for her.

    Love.
