11 Oct Jesus Calling #13
I LOVE this Jesus Calling devotional. I so enjoy starting my day off by reading this book. This devotional below was perfect timing as it’s on the topic of contentment which I posted about on Wednesday. Remember, this book is written from Jesus’ perspective. If you don’t already have this book, I highly recommend it!
Rejoice in Me always! No matter what is going on, you can rejoice in your love relationship with Me. This is the secret of being content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:4). So many people dream of the day when they will finally be happy; when they are out of debt, when their children are out of trouble, when they have more leisure time, and so on. While they daydream, their moments are trickling into the ground like precious balm spilling wastefully from overturned bottles.
Fantasizing about future happiness will never bring fulfillment, because fantasy is unreality. Even though I am invisible, I am far more real than the world you see around you. My reality is eternal and unchanging. Bring your moments to Me, and I will fill them with vibrant Joy. Now is the time to rejoice in My Presence!

Posted at 05:48h, 11 OctoberOoh, I’m going to have to check out that devotional. I get a Heartlight Devotional emailed to me each day (http://www.heartlight.org/devotionals/ …if you are ever interested “Today’s Verse” are good). However, I do like having a real book. Your other book ideas have been so good, I think I need to order Jesus Calling. Thanks for the reco!

Have a wonderful weekend, Caroline. Blessings to you, and lifting you up in prayer.

Posted at 11:48h, 11 OctoberYou and Charity posted exactly what I needed today to lift my gloom. I need to stop looking towards the future. Today matters too. Today is important and in today I need to be content. Perfect.
