11 Jul Love Others Romans 12:9-10 #140
In light of a hard week I thought I would share Romans 12:9-10 which says, “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
Because I live in Dallas and my husband is in law enforcement, the events that transpired last Thursday night have really hit home. All it took was one individual that was filled with hate to disrupt this city. However, I have hope. I always have hope because Jesus is still on the throne and his light always outshines the darkness of a few individuals.
Who else agrees that this world needs more love? Romans 12:9 tells believers to love what is sincere and cling to what is good. I feel like this is such an important truth to focus on, especially this week. When you reflect on your life are you clinging to what is good? Hate won’t get you anywhere, but love will! Love changes everything!
Let’s all show a little more love. If you need simple ideas, you can refer to this post. But let’s dig a little deeper and devote ourselves to one another. Don’t let hate or evil be an option, but instead let the love of Jesus flow through you and into the lives of those around you.

Posted at 12:59h, 12 JulyYes Caroline, we need to love ourselves and others more! Sometimes we lash out at others because we don’t love ourselves. Let’s live by love and faith instead of fear. God bless you!

Posted at 16:55h, 14 JulyLove this! As a police wife, I was really shook up over all the news media and people’s awful comments last week regarding law enforcement. This verse is definitely very fitting and serves as a wonderful reminder to love others and to be kind. Great post!
