Luke 1:37 Nothing is Impossible #222
I have shared Luke 1:37 on this space many times before, but 900+ posts in and it’s a verse that I can’t not repeat. It’s one that many followers of Christ are probably familiar with. Luke 1:37 says, “nothing is impossible with God.”
This verse takes place after Mary questions the angel Gabriel on how she would one day be pregnant with Jesus. The angel responds that Mary, just like Elizabeth, would be carrying a child and therefore, nothing would be impossible with God. The word “nothing” in this verse can be translated “no word” meaning no word will be impossible with God. God will always perform what he said!
All throughout scripture we see that nothing is impossible with God. We see him perform healings, miracles, signs and wonders. Let’s cover just a few miracles: he parted the seas, he blessed Sarah with a baby at the age of 90, fed 5,000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, he rose Lazarus from the dead, and he turned water into wine. The same God who performed all those miracles and many, many more is the same God that is still making impossible situations possible today.
So whether you have heard this verse before or not, do you actually believe it? Do you actually believe that nothing is impossible with God? Do you believe that he still heals and still performs miracles? And if you do believe it, then would you act different? Would your situation be different? Would you approach your impossible situation differently?
What impossible situation are you facing today? What will it take for you to not only declare you believe in the impossible, but walk it out too? Whatever it is, I want to partner with you in faith that the miraculous situation you are believing for will be your greatest reality! Nothing is impossible with him!
