You Make Me Brave
A friend introduced me to this song last December and I immediately fell in love with it! They had a 16 minute spontaneous version out on youtube that I would listen to constantly, but was replaced with their new recorded version when they released their latest CD. This version isn’t my favorite, but the lyrics are so applicable to how we feel while waiting. I have shared Bethels music before and if you haven’t already, check out the You Make Me Brave CD!
The Lord has called us out into the water while we wait on Him with our future babies. While we have watched friend after friend after friend after friend announce their pregnancy, and then celebrate the birth, and then the 1st birthdays, and then announce another pregnancy…. (you get the point), we are still waiting.
It would be so wonderful to do fertility treatments in hope that our baby would be here faster (I realize that this is not necessarily the case, but would love to at least try), but that is not where He has us. He has told us to wait on Him. We are in the middle of the ocean and wave after wave is crashing over us. But, we aren’t alone. He is for us. He is filling us with joy, peace, and while we wait He is making us brave. I know we aren’t the only one waiting on God to fulfill His promises. While waiting, let His love crash over you. He has not left you out in the water to leave you, but He is conforming you to His image while He gets His promises ready for you!
You Make Me Brave
I stand before You now
The greatness of your renown
I have heard of the majesty and wonder of you
King of Heaven, in humility, I bow
As Your love, in wave after wave
Crashes over me, crashes over me
For You are for us
You are not against us
Champion of Heaven
You made a way for all to enter in
I have heard You calling my name
I have heard the song of love that You sing
So I will let You draw me out beyond the shore
Into Your grace
Into Your grace
You make me brave
You make me brave
You call me out beyond the shore into the waves
You make me brave
You make me brave
No fear can hinder now the love that made a way

Posted at 09:03h, 04 JulyI so commend your courage in waiting, Caroline. I know God will honor your faith. The songs sounds great! I can’t wait to look it up!! You are so gracious to always be so happy and celebratory for the success of your friends. I struggle with that sometimes – at least initially – but I think of your attitude often and it encourages me to be a better person! xo
