Memory Monday: Week 18

“If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” Exodus 15:26

In Exodus 15, God promises that if the people obeyed Him, they would not suffer from any diseases. The Israelites obedience  in this verse was directly related to their healing. The beautiful thing about obeying the Lord, is it doesn’t just bring physical healing, but emotional and spiritual too. When we obey Him, He instills in us a new sense of peace, joy, hope and faith.

I also love how God revealed Himself as “Jehovah-Rapha” — “the Lord who heals you.” Healing isn’t just a physical act that God does, but He IS healing. He promises not to bring any disease, but to be THE Healer. If we want to be completely healed, we need to humble ourselves and obey His word.

This will be my last Memory Monday for a few weeks as we will be leaving this weekend for two weeks on vacation!! I asked a few ladies back in June and July if they would be willing to guest post and they agreed! Looking forward to sharing with everyone what the Lord has put on their hearts.

So true. I think we can get frustrated when we don’t see the physical healing coming to pass, but you are so right that as long as we’re doing the right, we can at least gain a greater sense of peace (emotional healing). It’s those times when I have TRUE inner peace that I am so thankful for! Even if the physical healing hasn’t come YET, it’s ok, because…well, I have something even more important, which is peace.

Hope you and your hubs enjoy the vacay! You deserve it!
