Memory Monday – Week 56

There is only one person who knows what the future holds and that is God. We live in the unknown. What we do know because of what scripture tells us is that we will face trials. It’s not a matter of if, but of when. I know I have said this many times, but I think we (including me) all need this reminder. However, even though we know that truth, we can’t live in fear wondering when those trials will come. Psalm 112:7 says, “He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.”

Fear is never from the Lord. He doesn’t ever speak by fear, but only by love. He hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So, we know that when we put our trust in Him we have nothing to fear. Are you trusting God completely with the unknown and your future or are you letting fear rise up instead? Replace your fear with faith in Him. Make sure you heart is steadfast in seeking the Lord and not seeking or worrying about the unknown. No matter what happens, remember that He is with you and He is for you.

Totally needed to read this today, Caroline. I’ve had fear about moving to another city because I love my friends and church here. I have a fear that I won’t find the same friendships if I move, but I need to have faith in God through that because if He wants us to move, He’ll make that happen. Thank you, friend!

This is true, I often think my life is going pretty great, when is something terrible going to happen? But I want to remember this in everything, to not fear and just trust in God.

whenever i’m pondering suffering, i remind myself of its purpose, and Rom. 8:28-29: “Suffering is not without meaning in spite of its mystery. It has as its chief purpose the formation of Christ-like character.” this post is a lovely reminder of how much love will enter our lives if we remember we are in His hands <3

I needed this. I always have fear and have to apologize to Him because I know He doesn’t want us to be scared but to trust Him always.

    Always thinking of you! XO

Okay, I have read several posts about fear. I know God wants me to hear this message because I recently talked to a good friend about fear and how I have let it dominate much of my life.

Thank you for sharing this scripture (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).

    I hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
