Memory Monday – Week 61

God cares about our desires and prayer requests. He listens to our prayers, moves in response to our prayers, and answers our prayers. It might not always be the answer we had asked for, but He is listening and answering. He doesn’t just want us to ask once and forget about it. He wants to know that we care about what we are praying for just as much as He does. That is why I love Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

People probably think we are crazy, but we know we have prayed over a thousand prayers for our babies, as well as asked so many to pray with us. We go to healing prayer every other Saturday and we go to altar prayer every Sunday morning. Anytime someone asks if there is a prayer request we are the first to raise our hand. We are going to continue to ask, seek, and knock until He opens the door. We will keep contending for our babies until they are here! Abraham waited 25 years! Such a man of faith who sets a great example for us.

When you desire something, keep asking, regardless if it’s taking longer than you expected. Be persistent. Seek Him. Listen to Him. Wait for Him. Don’t stop believing, hoping, and asking.

The people that may think you are crazy just haven’t been touched by the Holy Spirit yet. Maybe your great faith and your actions will move them to have their own faith and learn about God. After all, we are all disciples of Christ. He uses us all in different ways. Don’t ever stop believing.

Thank you for sharing this and for being an inspiration to keep having faith. This morning I was reading Proverbs 3 and 3:5 spoke to me…”Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.”

Love memory mondays! And that is one of my favorite verses of all time. I absolutely believe that the Lord will honor those persistent “knocks” and “Seeks”- just like the widow banging on the judge’s door asking for justice. If the mean old judge will give it, how much more good will your Father do for you?

I was reading this verse just this morning! I love that God reminds us again and again in His word that He hears and answers our prayers. I’m always asking for prayer at church over my body. I’ll keep asking for prayer until that baby is in my arms!

Yes continuing to cry out to God for these blessings. I know He hears and I won’t stop until he answers. Thanks for the reminder to be faithful in our prayers. I recently read something similar in Beth Moore’s breaking free where she likened praying continuously to the people marching around the wall of Jericho.

Persist in your asking and God will reveal in His time what his plans for your life are. Since we know that He cares about us even more than we care about ourselves we know His plans are wonderful! 🙂

I love this post so much. I love knowing that others are praying for us, and you should also know that others are also praying for YOU and YOUR hubby!!!! You’re right – if Abraham can wait 25 years and be blessed with a baby, surely we can too!
