Memory Monday – Week 74
I’ve shared so many verses on hope previously, but today I’m sharing Lamentations 3:24-25 which says, I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.
In Lamentations 3, Jeremiah brings hope in the midst of affliction. He experienced hope in all the sadness and sin that surrounded him. Despite what was going on around Him, He chose to see that the Lord is faithful. He knew that God would keep His promises.
The only person who can bring us hope is Jesus. He isn’t just part of our portion, or our portion only at certain times or certain days, but He is always our complete and full portion. The Jesus cup isn’t half-empty or isn’t half-full, but it should always be running over!
He is worth waiting for. His promises are worth waiting for. He is good to those who wait, seek, and put their hope in Him. Don’t waste time looking for other things to be your portion. Jesus is right in front of you and wants you to wait on Him!

Posted at 17:42h, 09 DecemberAhh – now I know why I knew I had to send you that verse last week. I’ve been thinking about it all week, too – I don’t wait well, but His promises are so worth waiting for. I just heard a few minutes ago that EVERY word that comes out of the devil’s mouth is a lie and he will take scripture just to manipulate truth and cause further confusion – I don’t know about you but that stopped me right in my tracks. Earlier today I just told the enemy to shut up and you know what? He did! In this season, I have chosen to will wait on my Jesus – although it pretty much goes against every fiber of how God made me, His promises are sooo much better than my highest dreams and will definitely be worth it in the end!! Hope you’re having a fabulous week!! 🙂
