Memory Monday – Week 78
I’m back! I wasn’t gone long and it was a much needed break, but it’s good to be back! I certainly missed all the interaction with my friends and fellow bloggers!
Today I’m sharing Psalm 27:13 – “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
In Psalm 27, David is fleeing from those who want to kill him. It is amazing that despite his circumstances he remained confident. He didn’t stumble or fall, but he was 100% certain that He would see the goodness of the Lord.
How many times do we just throw our hands up and decide that when we get to heaven, life will be better? While that remains very true, heaven is a place with no sin, no heartache, no sickness and no brokenness, it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t look for God’s goodness while we are here on earth.
What are you putting your confidence in? Do you believe you will see God’s goodness here on earth? It’s by no accident that the verses after Psalm 27:13 tell us to be strong, take heart, and wait for the Lord. Join me in waiting on Him and believing we will see the goodness of the Lord here and soon! Open your eyes and look at what the Lord is doing all around you! He is good!

Posted at 13:53h, 12 JanuaryHappy New Year Beautiful Caroline!! 🙂 I love this post! I always say that about your posts, but it’s true! I ALWAYS get something from your posts, thoughts & site. Thank you for that! As you know. I took a blogging break for the holidays. I’m going to post a blog on my site only once or twice a month, instead of once a week, to work on something for God. HOWEVER, I will continue to comment and read the blogs I love, including yours. I will still blog on my site, just not every week like before. I looooove to blog, but I really feel like God has called me to do something for Him, for now, and I just need that time to work on this project. I will still post on Instagram, etc too! I still pray for you every day, like I said I would. xoxo

Posted at 14:45h, 12 JanuaryWelcome back!! I love that verse – so many times I’m just so ready to throw my hands up and just wait for my judgment day so I can get to the better side of things. God reminds us though to wait on Him and enjoy this life while we’re at it 🙂

Posted at 09:32h, 14 JanuaryI’m so glad that your break/fast was good, Caroline! Great verse! This is kind of off subject but the term “land of the living” has always been odd to me. I read that and think here on earth. Do you know the song “Breathe”, “Breathe Peace”, “Peace” something like that by the Robbie Seay Band? He says “land of the living God” which changes the meaning for me. Haha. Random.

Posted at 12:59h, 14 JanuaryI am taking confidence in that God is going to build His church. We are part of a church plant and it is going very slowly. I believe in the way the church is set up, its doctrine. We align everything we do with scripture but we barely get 75-80 adults on a given Sunday. We pray everyday that God would bring people. This past Sunday we had 103 adults! Praise God!
