Memory Monday – Week 8

This has always been one of my favorite verses as it displays the power of prayer. We are to ask God anything. If we know it’s according to His will; we have the assurance that He hears us.

This verse does not imply that we automatically receive what we ask, but it does tell us that God wants us to come to Him with anything and everything.

Following His will isn’t always easy. It’s hard to put our desires aside and offer up prayers that are only aligned with His will. And, how do we even know what His will is? When we abide in Him and try to become more like him through study, conversations, the way we spend our time, and prayer, we naturally become more like Him. Because of that, our desire and will become more like Him too. This is when we see our prayers answered.

So why doesn’t God just do what He wants, instead of waiting for us to ask Him? He wants us to work with Him as a team. He cares about the things we care about and He wants us to care about the things He cares about. Because of that, He wants us to pray devoted prayers to Him. It shows Him that we love him, we trust Him, and we take Him and His word seriously.

So join me in seeking to know Him more, uncovering His will, and prayingย boldย prayers that are aligned with His will for us.

Thank you for that verse. I just prayed it aloud and will be asking boldly this entire cycle!

Wow! I read this over and over. There is so much truth in your post today. Thanks for the constant reminders to seek God’s will, instead of my own for my life and my fertility.

When I was on a mission trip in high school, we were required to memorize this verse. A few of us girls turned it into a rap, and I still remember it to this day!
