Memory Monday – Week 86
Last time I shared on Isaiah 55, it was from verses 8-9 which tell us that the Lord’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours, but just a few verses later there is another another encouraging verse in Isaiah 55:11, “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
In verses 8 through 13 we read of the glorious ways of the Lord. Just as when rain and snow comes down for a purpose on this earth, which is referenced in verse 10, God’s word too has a purpose. Everything the Lord has spoken into scripture and speaks to us now, will accomplish the purpose He has created and desired.
Humans will say things they don’t mean. They will make commitments and then not follow through, but God is the exact opposite. He keeps His promises. If He has spoken it, it will happen. His words aren’t empty and mindless, but full of purpose and power.
His word does not return null or void, but it ALWAYS accomplishes what has already been said. Whatever He has spoken to you, He will fulfill. Keep believing what He has told you – In due time it will come to pass!
