Psalm 139:5 Father’s Blessing #143

What is not to love about Psalm 139? This chapter encompasses the Lord’s knowledge and love towards all of his children, including you! Psalm 139:5 says, “You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me, to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a Father’s blessing to me.”

Just as this verse says, God has already gone into your future to prepare the way for you. Not only that, but he has completely encircled the days before you and the days ahead of you. It’s like you are in a God sandwich where he is protecting you on both sides. Silly, I know, but his protection really does cover every area of your life.

God has a Father’s blessing for you and his hand of love is all over your life. He only has good thoughts towards you, so much so that he never punishes you for your past, but he protects you from all harm. He doesn’t judge you based on your sin, but he forgives you. Does this truth encourage you?

No matter what you are facing today and how tired you are of waiting, trust that the Lord knows what he is doing. He has already prepared the way. You might not understand his ways, but don’t let your wait keep you from believing that God’s goodness is upon your life. God has good plans in store for you so seek his kindness while you wait on him!

What a beautiful verse! I’m not sure if I’ve ever read it before. Such a comfort knowing that He is always there.

Amen! Amen! thank you for reminding us about God’s love and his plans for us. In his time he makes all things beautiful and we will continue to trust in him. I’m currently undergoing IVF #4 and throughout my day, God has being encouraging me and you have blessed me. I pray for God blessing and favor over you and your family and that may he grant you all the desires of your heart. In jesus name, amen.

I’ve never really paid attention to that verse before. I don’t know why, because it is a great one! God was in our past, is in our present, and will be in our future!

Psalm 139 is one of my favorite Psalms. I am usually quick to remember about God knitting me together in my mother’s womb, but forget about the first part of the Psalm. Thanks for the reminder.

Thank you for that. I have been torturing myself thinking this infertility was a punishment for something I’ve done. I feel so much better knowing he has forgiven my sins and is protecting my path. I’ve known he has forgiven our sins but for some reason I think this is a punishment. I don’t know his reasons for this pain and emptiness. I don’t know what his plan is for me. I need to remember that I am worthy of a miracle too.

Thanks for this. I have mentioned before. I am in a waiting period of my life right now and I tell you what sometimes I just want to say, “God I don’t even want it anymore. ” I just have to hold vs 5 close to my heart and remember He has already done it.
