I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. Psalm

Psalm 69:30 Praise + Glorify God #204

It’s only fitting to share a verse on thankfulness this week. And I will admit, I stole this verse, Psalm 69:30 from our church bulletin. Ha! I saw it yesterday and it was too good not to share. See, there are always perks when you write all your posts the night before at 10 pm. You can incorporate last-minute revelations!

Psalm 69:30 says, “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.”

I love that this verse says in song. I am so passionate about worshiping God and there is power when we do so. Have you seen the list of songs I have shared here before? There is a reason! Worship and thanksgiving are a key part of being in a relationship with the Father. And worship isn’t just for when you are having a good day or you are in a good season, but it’s a weapon of warfare you can use during the difficult seasons too. When you are waiting, you should be worshipping.

The second part of this verse talks about the word glory. Glory is a manifestation of God’s greatness and presence. It is a term that is used to speak of great honor, praise, value, wonder, and splendor. I feel like it’s the all-encompassing term of who God is. So to glorify him is to show him the reverence which he is due which you can do by worshipping him and thanking him.

Are worship and giving thanks part of your everyday conversation with the Father? If not, they should be! Meditate on Psalm 69 and start singing your praises to him. I have worship music on pretty much 90% of my day. If you need a good playlist, here is one you can use. God deserves to be glorified all day, every day. Don’t wait another second before going before the Father and praising him for his goodness and faithfulness. I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. Psalm
