Revelation 21

Revelation 21:5 Everything New #168

Happy 2017! I hope you had a great time ringing in the New Year.

I love reading verses about the NEW that the Lord is doing. One of my favorites is Isaiah 43:18-19, but read how powerful Revelation 21:5 is, which says, The one sitting on the throne said, “I am making everything new.” He said, “Write this: ‘These words are faithful and true.'”

Revelation 21 captures the new heaven, new earth and new Jerusalem. The talk of all the “new” follows Revelation 21:4 which says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more–or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.”

You might have ended 2016 with many tears, but God wants to wipe them away. Just as when he spoke these words, God is still “the one sitting on the throne.”He declared that he is “making everything new.” His desire is to redeem the tears, the pain, the hurt and the loss. God ends verse 5 by telling John to “write.” God wanted this promise written down because the words he speaks are absolutely always faithful and true.

God loves to make all things new: new life, new healing, new joys, new families and new love. He will make everything new. I hope you approach the new year with high expectations of God restoring everything in your life including healing your heart, your body, your mind and ultimately answering the desires of your heart and your long-awaited prayers.

PS. In honor of 2017, I am hosting a giveaway over on instagram for 2 copies of my book, In Due Time, so I hope you hop over to enter. I also have a coupon code going on for newyear10 for 10% off.

What a beautifully encouraging word for this new year. Praying that these words bring health and life to the downtrodden who come upon them. Thanks for sharing and may you and your family be blessed this year, Caroline.

As the ball dropped on 2016 and we began 2017, I set a few goals for myself – and one was not living in the past and not waiting for the future but living the day with God. I am going to write down in a journal every day something “good” that happened, that way I can focus on the good God is giving me.

I love your posts Caroline, they always lift me up!

Good thoughts Caroline! Reminded me of two other verses:
    1. Galatians 6:15 says in Christ Jesus…we’re a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

It doesn’t say you’re kind of a new creation…kind of old and kind of new…old things have kind of passed away, but are kind of still here. It doesn’t say some things have become new, but some things haven’t.

Great Scripture for the start of a new year on earth. And, I am grateful that we can brush off the old and start fresh every day.
