06 May Romans 6:8 Fullness of Life #270
After taking two weeks off from sharing verses on Monday’s due to Infertility Awareness and the Podcast launch announcement, it is good to be back!
Today I want to share Romans 6:8, which says “And if we were co-crucified with the Anointed One, we know that we will also share in the fullness of his life.”
The reality is, you were co-crucified with Jesus Christ. This means when Christ was crucified he paid for the penalty for all your sins. Every single one of them! When he died, your flesh died too. But, the good news is he didn’t stay in the grave.
He rose! Which means, not only were you crucified with him, but you also resurrected with Christ too. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in you (Romans 8:11). A lot of Christians live as though Christ is still dead but he is alive! And if he is alive, then you can live too!
Galatians 2:20 says, “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!”
You are a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 2:17)! Your sin is dead. In fact, you are no longer a sinner but instead you are a saint! The life of Christ now lives in you and through you because you are one with him! What a gift! What a joy!
Are you operating in the fullness of the life of Christ?
