The Way to Great Faith

The Way to Great Faith

The Way to Great Faith

Have you ever known someone personally, or perhaps followed someone on social media and thought to yourself, “How do they have so much faith?”

Do you know that you can have the same amazing faith that the others around you currently have? Do you realize you can have radical faith, the kind of faith that moves mountains and believes for the impossible? What if I told you that you can have the same faith as Paul, Jesus and so many others in the Bible had!

Over the years I have received many comments about the amount of faith I have. They have ranged all across the board, but most line up with “God must have given you extra faith.”

Each time I receive a comment like this it makes me cringe because it’s not true. The truth is every person has access to live a life of radical faith. It’s part of your inheritance. But just as I have said so many times before, even though every person has access to living a faith-filled life, it’s up to each individual to access it.

Before I move forward with this topic I want to make it very clear that I don’t believe we have to muster up “more faith.” What I do believe is that the faith of God lives on the inside of us and we need a greater revelation of that faith, including how to access it and use it.

Romans 10:17 makes the topic of faith so simple. It says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The reason I have faith is because I have made a choice to renew my mind with the truth of God’s Word. I have made reading God’s Word my main priority and I have made a decision to live my life based on God’s Word, instead of how I feel or what my circumstances dictate.

In other words, I have faith because I have accessed it through the truth, revelation and wisdom that has come from God’s Word. Again, it’s not Caroline’s faith, but it’s God’s faith in me that I have obtained!

The faith I have wasn’t birthed overnight. It was and still is a process. But every time I have said yes to spending time in the Word of God it has given me a greater revelation of what I have access to. Every time I have opened God’s Word and meditated on His truths, the faith of God within me has been strengthened. It has taken sacrifice, effort and time over many, many years but I am reaping a harvest of faith from the seeds of truth I have been planting.

It’s going to take time and effort but every person, including you, can live a life of radical faith because we all have the same access to the same faith. Every person can have the confidence in what they hope for and the assurance about what they do not see (Hebrews 11:1). Every person can have the faith that believes God for the impossible and trusts His Word to be true over every situation in life.

This faith comes by understanding that it’s not about “working your way” into greater faith, but it’s about opening God’s Word and activating and accessing the faith of God that is already on the inside of you.

So whose faith do you wish you had? Paul? Abraham? A pastor or friend? What if instead of desiring the harvest of faith someone else is reaping, you started accessing what is already yours by spending time in God’s Word and planting your own seeds of truth?
