Verses to Declare Over The COVID-19 Crisis

Verses to declare over the covid-19 crisis virus

None of us could have imagined the worldwide crisis we are facing right now due to COVID-19 virus. I think we all would agree one of the big problems with this virus is the unknown that comes with it. What do the next few weeks look like? How long will school be cancelled? How long will social gatherings be restricted? When will this all settle down? Will I still have a job? What will happen to the stock market? The list of questions and fears could go on and on which is what led me to put together this post on verses for you to declare over COVID-19.

In the midst of the unknown, we must continue to put our trust in the Known, Father God. This is our time to stand on His Word and His truth. I truly believe He wants to reveal Himself to each of us. And if we put our focus on Him during this time what is meant to cause mass destruction will instead be an awakening for many Christians, as we realize what is important — our relationship with HIM. Not the fun activities, not sports, not shopping, not vacation, but HIM.

I will have more thoughts in the days and weeks to come and in fact I am sharing a lot of those on Instagram. But for today, I wanted to provide a resource for you to help you combat any and all fears you might be facing.

I started to make categories for every different fear (fear of losing a job, fear of what the future holds, etc) however so many of these verses could apply to every category. Instead I have listed a large amount of verses which will be helpful no matter what your thoughts and included a select few categories at the bottom. There is a printable version you can download at the bottom of this post as well.

If you don’t know what to pray, I encourage you to declare and pray these verses out loud over you. Personalize them for your situation. Ask your friends or family to join in with you. Let’s not forget the Word is our weapon! It’s our medicine! It’s our lifeline!

He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge — no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. ‘Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”’ Psalm 91:1-15 ESV

This is so good friend! I went on a walk on the coast today and was declaring this time to be a season of the miraculous! That God will open wombs and restore marriages and provide when we think it’s impossible. I’ve been reading about the Israelites –from the plagues to them wandering in the wilderness. All along God is there for them, giving them exactly what they need, including promises for a great future. God is with us and He IS GOOD!
