You are going to be okay

You Are Going to Be Okay

“You are going to be okay.”

I am?

Those were the words whispered to me by an older gentleman a few weeks ago at church.

I was making my way back to my seat after going up for prayer. As has happened many times in church, I couldn’t contain the tears that morning. It wasn’t just that I couldn’t contain them, but I had entered a complete uncontrollable sobbing state. You know, the kind of crying that should only happen at home?

When he whispered that to me, I knew he thought I was crying about a baby, but I wasn’t.

Regardless, it stuck.

I am going to be okay and it’s also okay that I have days that I am not okay. I shared on the topic of not being okay earlier this year and it still sticks with me today. As much as I try to always be positive and seek faith over fear, some days are just really bad, and it took me awhile to realize it’s okay to not be okay.

But guess what. Even on the days you are not okay, you are going to be okay.

Are you following?

Whatever you are going through, you will be okay! Loss of a loved one? You are going to be okay. Infertility? You are going to be okay. Divorce? You are going to be okay. Eviction from your home? You are going to be okay.

Even if you are not okay today, you are going to be okay! You will get through whatever you are going through. You won’t do it alone, because God will give you just the amount of strength and grace to survive. But, you will survive. And, you will be okay.

You are going to be okay

So much utter yesness to this! I’m always reminding myself that God is BIGGER than this… And I’ll be okay.

As long as we have God, we will definitely be okay – I can count the number of times and then some!

This reminds me of a magnet I have heard about on someone’s fridge, “It’s all going to be okay in the end. And if you are still reading this, it’s not the end!”

Sometimes it’s tough to remember that just because things don’t go the way we plan doesn’t mean we won’t get through it. Thanks for the reminder!

I’m glad someone at church was willing to encourage you. That was nice of him. And yes, we are going to be okay because God is for us, even on not okay days.

It is good to know we will be okay..no matter what life throws at us, nobody can take better care of us than the Father. I love how God reassures us even through other people.

God brings us out of every single trial and praise to Him that he has given us emotions so that we can feel through each trial in order to help others who will be going through a similar situation later on. We will be ok.
