14 Verses for Your Two Week Wait

If you aren’t familiar, the “two week wait” is a phrase used by those trying to conceive. The two week wait is the two weeks in between when conception can occur and when a woman finds out if she is pregnant or not.

While the two weeks for some women are met with anxiety, fear and impatience, it doesn’t have to be! The two week wait, and really every day of life, can and should actually be filled with expectation, hope, peace and joy!

Because I often hear woman talk about the dreaded two week wait I pulled together 14 scriptures that will help remind any woman trying to conceive of what God’s Word says. I probably could have pulled 1,000’s of verses as scripture is so full of life and truth, but for today’s post I stuck with 14. I also added declarations so you can personalize his Word and speak it over your situation and body. In addition, I created a printable for you, which you can print off from here: 14 Verses for Your Two Week Wait. I didn’t use any healing verses in this post, so I encourage you to print off these and declare them as well.

14 Verses for Your Two Week Wait

“And now, God, I’m left with one conclusion: my only hope is to hope in you alone!” Psalm 39:7

Lord, as I wait, I put my hope in you, not in the outcome of this cycle or month.

“In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” Psalm 25:1

I put all of my trust in you Lord. Thank you that although the circumstances around me change, you never do.

“But if we wait expectantly for things we have never seen, then we hope with true perseverance and eager anticipation.” Romans 8:25

Lord, I choose not to let my past define my future and I look forward in great expectation of what is to come. I wait patiently for the desire you have put in my heart to become a mom to be fulfilled.

“I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

I wait with patience and expectation. Thank you Lord that as I turn to you, you turn to me. Thank you for hearing all my cries and catching every one of my tears.

“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!” Isaiah 30:18

Thank you Father that you are gracious towards me, always leading me in love and compassion. Thank you for showing me justice and redeeming what the enemy has tried to steal from me. I declare that as I wait on you, I am blessed!

“The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.” Lamentations 3:24-25

My hope is in you Lord. Thank you that you are a good and loving Father that will give me good gifts as I seek and put my hope in you.

“I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope.” Psalm 130:5

I wait on you Lord and I put my hope in you and your Word. Thank you that your Word doesn’t return null or void but it always comes to pass. I trust what it has to say regarding my body and the expansion of my family.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Lord, I ask you to renew me with your strength. I declare I will not grow weary in well-doing, but will be energized by the Holy Spirit over these two weeks.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Father, I give up my right to understand and I will instead trust you with my whole heart. Thank you that as I lean on you that you will make my paths straight.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:7-8

Father, I submit myself to you. I command any and all attacks of the enemy to flee including infertility and miscarriages.

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Thank you Father that fear is not from you. I command all fear to be gone. I thank you that you have given me power, love and self-control.

“So don’t be impatient for the Lord to act; Keep moving forward steadily in his ways, And he will exalt you at the right time. And when he does, you will possess every promise, Including your full inheritance.” Psalm 37:34

Lord, thank you that patience is one of the fruits of the spirit that belong to me. I look forward to you bringing life to my womb. Thank you that you have a full inheritance for me, including fruitfulness and fertility.

He gives childless couples a family, gives them joy as the parents of children” Psalm 113:9

Lord, I thank you that you make every barren woman, including me, a joyful mother of children. I thank you in advance for making me fruitful and fertile and giving me a family.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Lord, as I wait I come to you with prayer and petition. I command all my anxiety to be gone. I thank you that the next two weeks are filled with peace, not anxiety or fear. I praise you for the gift of life and healing.

May God bless you! This is exactly what i needed, after 2 miscarriages and a surgery, it’s been hard trying to keep positive and keep my faith strong but I have struggled.
Few more days and I’ll know if it’s God time or we continue waiting for our miracle baby.
