
15 Nov 2019 Moms in the Making Conference – Day 1 Recap
I am excited to finally recap day 1 of the 2019 Moms in the Making conference.
In all honesty, it’s hard to blog about the conference. Several of the conference attendees have mentioned they too have had a hard time putting into words all that God did over the conference weekend and I would most definitely agree.
I might not be able to articulate what happened in the lives of 200+ women spiritually, physically or emotionally, but I can share what took place at the conference logistically. It’s not quite the same and not as important, but for me, I still want to do a high level recap of the event. And, we have too many amazing pictures to not share at least some of them.
Our theme this year was “Established in Love” taken from Ephesians 3:17-19 which says, “I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”







Day 1 of the conference kicked off with our VIP meet and greet time. This is a casual hangout where our VIP ticket holders get to meet our breakthrough leaders.









After VIP and regular ticket registration finished, we kicked off our event. Melanie Murphy, the VP of Moms in the Making as well as a Voice Over Actor was our emcee for the conference. She got us started with lots of laughter and of course, singing and dancing too.



After Melanie got the event started we entered into a time of worship and I shared the first main stage message. My message was on the topic of Jesus!
You and I can not be established in the Father’s love if we haven’t yet met Him so it was the only way we felt the conference could start! After speaking, I led the ladies through a time of communion and then they were off to their first breakthrough session.




After the 1st breakthrough session was dinner time! Hello yummy food and desserts!



Before the 2nd main stage session we got a group picture. Not only did we get a picture of all the attendees, but in addition we took a picture with all the current Moms in the Making in-person support group leaders as well as all the moms who came with their daughters to support them. Isn’t it powerful to see the photos below?



Our last main stage session consisted of worship, a message by Melanie Murphy discussing her best friend, Holy Spirit, as well as a freedom session.
During that time Melanie helped the women acknowledge lies they were believing. Again, no amount of words will articulate the freedom the women encountered during that session, but I will speak on behalf of all the attendees when I say it was powerful. There was not a dry eye in the room.


We ended the night in our jammies! Yes, we sold jammies this year at the conference, along with lots of other merchandise, which you can purchase here.

Thanks for doing this work, MiTM ladies, and I pray that you, bring rooted and established in love, have felt the love of the Father and the refreshing joy of serving Him- during and even after all the work of the weekend!
