Moms in the Making Conference – Day 1

Moms in the making infertility conferenceI can’t believe it’s almost been a month since the 2nd Annual Moms in the Making conference in Dallas, TX! How did that even happen? The whole conference zipped by and I will admit, most of the conference is all a big blur to me, so I’m currently living vicariously through pictures and stories from all of the women.

This year we had a little over 200 women come from 33 states to attend the conference. I already mentioned this in my post from the other day, but the theme this year was Rooted in Truth taken from Colossians 2:6-7, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

We were at a new venue this year and it definitely felt like a large upgrade from last year. Besides the venue we of course had other changes from last year as well but one of those was that this year we offered VIP tickets. One of the many perks for the VIP attendees were they were welcome to come earlier to attend a Meet and Greet. I was thankful we hosted this as I felt like it gave me an opportunity to personally meet the ladies who came to the conference.

The official conference kicked off with our Vice President and Emcee, Melanie Murphy, sharing from stage. We then had a time of worship, followed by Jessica Satterfield sharing a message on “uprooting lies.” Jessica Satterfield, who writes over at Grace While We Wait, has become one of my best friends and it was such an honor to have her speaking at the conference. She is such a dynamic and engaging speaker and her session was the perfect way to kick of the weekend considering roots can’t take place unless we as women first uproot lies. We encouraged each woman come to the front and uproot whatever lie(s) they had been believing by removing the dandelions and throwing them on the ground!

After Jessica’s session, we had one breakthrough session and then it was dinner time!

After dinner we went back to the main worship center and kicked off the last session with worship and then I shared a message on the Parable of the Sower from Luke 8. I shared that the condition of our hearts have to be healthy and fertile in order for roots to take place. As an activation for the attendees we had fertile soil available for them to take home with them. After I delivered my message, we ended the night by partaking in communion.

Each woman received a gift on the way out: a cookie, a print with the conference scripture and a prophetic card written by the I am Fruitful team. And there you have it, that was day 1. Clearly that was the very, very, very high-level summary as it really is hard for me to put in words all the details that happened throughout the day, especially the spiritual and emotional details. Perhaps I will share more on that another time.

Quick reminder: If you were someone who wanted to attend the Moms in the Making conference but couldn’t, I want to encourage you to purchase the breakthrough recordings and then check out the swag, like the Rooted in Truth shirt, that is available too! Moms in the Making Conference Infertility Support Day 1 (10) Moms in the Making Conference Infertility Support Day 1 (10) Moms in the Making Conference Infertility Support Day 1 (10) Moms in the Making Conference Infertility Support Day 1 (10)

    You are just the cutest!
It always amazed me to see so many women come together that are dealing with the same issue. Has to be comfort in that alone – knowing you’re not on a journey all by yourself.
That cross with the lettering on it? That is GORGEOUS!
