My 4th Triathlon

Race season has officially begun. This past Sunday I competed in my 4th triathlon. This one was a little different, because Colby, my brother, and my dad competed as well. It was our first annual family triathlon and it was everyone’s first tri except mine. I was so proud because everyone did so well. My dad was so good about training and for all three of the men to finish and do so well is just awesome. I am a very proud daughter, sister, and wife!

It was so nice to have the whole family out there. Colby usually helps out so much and cheers me on along the way and since he was also racing I was thankful for my mom, other brother, sister-in-law, and nieces and nephews out there to cheer us all on at the finish line.

I was not happy with my time and missed my goal by 3 minutes. I know 3 minutes is actually a lot in a race, but at the same time I wish I pushed myself harder. This was the first race that I didn’t finish on the podium, but there was also a lot more competition this time. Considering I was on the tail end of being sick for two weeks, I guess I should be grateful that I finished at all!

If you want to see other races I have done you can see them below (only sharing half-marathons, triathlons, and Head for the Cure races)

This is so neat! I’m so glad so many of your family members joined you! Sorry you didn’t beat your time. I know that is frustrating but hopefully you will look back and remember all the people that joined you rather than 3 minutes =)

That’s amazing! I’ve thought about training for a triathlon, but never did it. You’ve totally inspired me! I’ve followed you on instagram for a while and found this post through the Friday Fitness Link Up. I was really excited to see it was you! Happy Friday!
