Essential Oils: Part 6: PanAway

It’s been so wonderful that we have not had to use medicine in almost a year. I love using alternative and healthier options and I’m so glad we can do that with essential oils. Today I’m sharing about PanAway. This oil became Colby’s friend while on our recent Colorado ski trip as it works as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever, bringing comfort to sore muscles. The smell of Pan Away reminds me of icy hot; it smells so refreshing. It is made up of the following ingredients: Wintergreen, Helichrysum, Clove and Peppermint.

If you are someone who works out a lot, this is a great oil to help relieve soreness, which is the main reason I use it. This is a great alternative to taking advil, or using icy hot, biofreeze, aleve,  midol, etc. Below are additional ways to use PanAway and while this list isn’t exhaustive, it should give you an idea of some of the benefits:

  • Joint Pain – Apply 1-2 drops to area
  • Headaches – Apply 1-2 drops to temples
  • Swelling – Apply 1-2 drops to area
  • Arthritis – Apply 1-2 drops to area
  • Inflammation – Apply 1-2 drops to area
  • Stiffness – Apply 1-2 drops to area

I love PanAway! I had been having major neck issues for a couple years. I had been to physical therapy, chiropractor, and had even had 2 steroid epidurals in my spine and still was pretty miserable. I started using PanAway and my neck started to loosen up! Since I stared my neck has never locked up on me again!! Love it!

Such a timely post as my oils arrived last night and this was the FIRST thing I used. I have been having some foot pain so I gave this a try. I’m not sure how much it helped because I went right to sleep but I definitely plan on using it more!

So, Can you buy these individually or do you need to buy as part of a set? How much would a bottle of this cost? I might be interested!

I don’t know if this is safe during pregnancy but I could sure use something to help with the swelling. What do you think? I know most essential oils are a no no because they cause uterine contractions and other things.

My mom is suffering from breast cancer and it spread to her spine. She needed radiation on her spine and in turn it started to eat away at the bone and she has tiny fractures. I bought her this oil with research and it seems like the only thing to work on bone regeneration. Any other thoughts? Also there are days where the pain in unbearable and she needs to use biofreeze. Can they be used at the same time on the same spot?
