05 Jul The Healthiest Smoothie Recipe
I have become obsessed with smoothies lately. I just love them. They are so refreshing especially when it’s so hot out. I make them almost every day and while I used to say I would prefer to eat my food, than drink it, I guess I have changed my mind. I have been sharing so many pictures of my smoothies in my instagram stories that I thought it was time to share my recipe. It’s actually super easy and super healthy. I find that so many smoothies contain so many bad ingredients, so I am excited to share this recipe as it’s actually good for you.

For the longest time I was getting grass-fed protein from a friend, but she has since moved so I’m now using Nuzest. I can’t say I have done a ton of research on it, but at first glance it passed my health test. If you want a tub yourself, you can use the code ‘induetime’ to get 15% off. I did look on amazon and am eyeing this for my next purchase, which is grass-fed and what I prefer to get. I highly recommend making sure whatever protein powder you use, it’s actually healthy and not full of a lot of junk.
I make these smoothies any time of the day. Sometimes it’s for breakfast, sometimes an afternoon snack and sometimes after dinner. I have done it all and I can tell you that no matter what time of day you make it, it will be delicious.

Add in the following and blend. The more ice, the thicker your smoothie will be:
- 1/2 blender full of Spinach
- 1/5 blender full of Ice
- 1/5 blender full of Water
- Any fruit, any amount. I like orange, banana, pineapple and/or strawberries
- 2-3 drops of essential oils. I like lemon, orange, grapefruit and/or citrus fresh
- Small piece of ginger
- Scoop of Vanilla protein powder
Voila. It really is that easy and that delicious. I highly recommend the Vitamix blender. We used to have the Ninja, and honestly the Vitamix is worth every penny spent and in my opinion, is much better than the Ninja.
Have questions? I would love to hear what you would add in to your smoothies that I don’t have listed above.

Is this the only smoothie you make? Do you get tired of the same flavor everyday? I try to switch up my fruits daily so I cam have different flavors. I also have both vanilla and chocolate flavored protein powder. I use Skinnymom protein powder. It’s healthy and so delicious. Doesnt taste like protein powder. Thr vanilla tastes like cake batter and the chocolate tastes like hot chocolate or chocolate pudding! Let me know if you want to look at the link to it or I can send pic of nutrition facts.
Also…I use the individual cup for my smoothies as me and hubby like different flavors (I hate bananas) so we do individual servings. How would you cut this recipe down to just a single serving?

Posted at 14:05h, 05 JulyI have wanted a Vitamix for so long! Maybe someday I’ll bite the bullet and spend the money. I am not impressed with my Ninja. My Nutribullet seems to work the best!

Posted at 17:38h, 05 JulyYUM. Sounds good. I never thought to put a piece of ginger it smoothies, but I’ll have to try it. We have a Vitamix and it’s super powerful, but I must admit I bought a small Nutribullet because it’s much easier to clean if I’m the only one drinking the smoothie.
