6 Year Blogiversary

April 8th marked 6 years of blogging for me! Last year, when I hit 5 years, was my first year to ever acknowledge a “blogiversary.” Clearly I’m a month late to posting, but I figured it was still worthy of celebrating.

If you haven’t picked up a copy of my book, then you might not know why me, the financial guru, started blogging. You can find out more in my book, but the short story for here is a week after our infertility diagnosis God told me to. This whole journey has been a huge step of faith and a leap way out of my comfort zone, but by the grace of God, I have continued to write. Here I am, 6 years later, still blogging 3-4 days a week. I am forever grateful for all the blessings blogging has brought along the way. And although there have been many blessings along the way, there have been many challenges too.

6 Year Blogiversary

The challenges are the endless hours and always being “on.” I realize this is no ones fault but mine, but it’s something I struggle to find the balance with. I also struggle with wondering if all the time I invest is worth it. I struggle with wondering if anyone ever reads the blog. And I struggle with all the negative feedback I receive too.

The blessings are you! The blessings have been all the friendships and connections I have made with people from all over the world. They have  been getting to serve the Lord by sharing what he speaks to me. They have been writing, even if it’s for just one person who reads it. My readers and followers are the ones who have made this blogging journey possible and worth it. And yes, for every negative comment there are a million sweet ones!

6 Year In Due Time Blogiversary (4)

Blogging has been more than just this space on the internet as it is what led me to write my first book, In Due Time: Hope and Encouragement in the Waiting. So to celebrate my blogiversary, I am giving 15% off my book THIS week. Please use the code blogiversary6 in the cart to get 15% off your full purchase. If you subscribe via email you can get 20% off {sign up using sidebar}.

I also have group over on facebook, In Due Time, that is an extension of this blog and my book. It’s a women only, faith-based group where we discuss all things about life: faith, health, travel, recipes, etc. I would love for you to join us!

Whether this is the first time you have stopped by or you have been here since the beginning, I want to say thank you. Thank you for investing in me and this blog. If you haven’t yet said hi, please do so. My favorite part of this journey have been connecting with people all over the world.

So here is to another year! Since celebrating my 5 year blogiversary last year I quit my job to pursue blogging and ministry full-time. Isn’t it so crazy how life can change so much in one year? I have no idea what the next year will bring, but I am expectant an excited to see what it holds.

Just for fun, here are some very quick facts:
