“Blessed is She” Gift
If there is one thing we could all agree on it’s that 2020 has been a hard year for all of us. Even though it’s been so hard, the Lord has continue to do so many amazing things. However, that doesn’t diminish the devastation and grief that has affected many individuals and families as well.
For quite some time it has been on my heart to pick one person who is a part of this community and bless them. After thinking it through, I thought it would better if I invited others, like you, to join in, because while I can donate financially or send a gift in the mail, it will have a greater impact on the recipient if 10, 20, 100 or 1,000 other people gave as well.
“Blessed is She” Gift
I am calling this the “Blessed is She” gift.
Is someone who has faced an unfathomable hard year really “blessed?”
It might seem opposite of what it should be called so let me explain. Blessed might not be the first word that come to mind, however scripture is clear that “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12
Luke 1:45 also says, “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”
I also picked “Blessed is she” because I believe it’s a powerful declaration to make over the recipient. Often times, we have to declare the opposite of our circumstances. Are you facing barrenness? Declare you are fruitful. Are you feeling weak? Declare that when you are weak, you are actually made strong in Him. Are you having a hard year? Then declare you are blessed!
How You Can Help
1- Do you know someone who has faced tremendously difficult circumstances in 2020 and yet, kept the faith and persevered under trial? If so, would you be willing to nominate them? (Yes, you can nominate yourself). If so, please fill out the form.
2- Do you want to donate financially or donate a gift to bless the recipient of the “Blessed is She” gift? If so, please fill out the details that apply, in this form. I also want to bless them with a ton of cards, so if you are interested in that, you can let me know in the form as well.
3- Help share this on social media. The more people who find out about it, the greater the gift will be. Can you imagine if we were able to raise $1,000 or even $10,000 and bless someone who has had a super crummy year?
PS. Yes, I realize there are big organizations that do things just like this. However, I believe just as a big organization can have a major impact on one person, we too can have an impact on some person’s life as well.
