In Due Time Book Launch

Book Launch Party

While in the middle of writing and editing, I never thought I would be able to write a post quite like this. But, I am happy to share that my book launch party happened this past Saturday. I was so stressed leading up to the event. I faced every obstacle when writing and publishing my book, including a lot of disappointment and frustration and so many things were out of my control. A few weeks ago I wasn’t sure I was going to have my book in time for the big event. The books weren’t perfect and didn’t turn out how I wanted them, but as a friend reminded me, it’s the content that matters.

Thankfully I had so much help with the party. A friend hosted the party at her house and we had gorgeous weather so  people were able to hang out inside and out. My in-laws came down from Kansas and my sister-in-law and niece came in town from Austin. There was around 40-50 people that I knew from my old church, my new church, work, my gym, Moms in the Making, and yes even people I had met online.

The night went by way too fast and I so wish I had more time with each person who came. I was trying to juggle talking with everyone as well as signing books, which was way out of my comfort zone. I had several friends help me at the book table as well as another friend who monogrammed the notebooks that were purchased. We had a raffle going as well and at the end of the night we gave away 10 different prizes (pictures and shops linked below).

I gave a speech and all the emotions of the stress, the excitement, the relief, and the realness of it all came together at once. I have no idea what I said, and I know I didn’t say what I wanted to. I felt so loved throughout the night and it’s amazing to me that so many people would sacrifice their night to spend it celebrating my new book.

If you haven’t ordered a copy for yourself yet, you still can order here! If you helped or attended my party, thank you so much. As you can see in the picture below, the cookies were a huge hit. We also had yummy food from Zoe’s and lots of personalized touches. I have linked all the shops I used below. I still can’t believe that I wrote a book, but all glory goes to God for the fun night of celebrating!

I just loved all the little items from your Book Launch party! Wishing I was closer so I could have met you IN PERSON instead of virtually! I am so proud of all the work you put into this and I just LOVEDDDD the cover and the way you’ve set it up. This really shaped out to be a wonderful book and I hope this reaches a lot of waiting souls.
