Pink Impact Women’s Conference

This past weekend I attended my first Pink Impact Conference, which was hosted by Gateway church. It was somewhat of a last minute decision (decided the week before) and I am so glad I went. I got to have sweet one-on-one time with my friend Melanie, well minus the fact that there were 9,000 other women there. Of course, Jesus totally showed up and I left so encouraged and filled with hope. The Lord also blessed me with a divine appointment from the Lord and I can’t wait to share more about that another day!

The theme of the weekend was “Dwell” although in my opinion, I felt like the theme was more about going through tough times, waiting, and pursuing healing and miracles. Kari Jobe and team led worship and sang some of my favorite songs by Jesus Culture. In addition, the speakers were Christine Caine, Priscilla Shirer, and Charlotte Gambill as well as several others from Gateway. Let me just tell you these ladies BROUGHT a good word. I wish I could listen to what the speakers shared over and over and over again, because it was just that good!

Really, I am not sure there is any good way to cover all the content of the weekend, so I am going to share some quick, one-liner takeaways from what I what wrote down and I hope at least one of these resonates with you.

  • God’s not finished with you yet
  • Your heart and soul reveal your destiny, but your mind will take you to your destiny
  • Focus on the promise instead of the problem
  • When you can fall asleep in the presence of the enemy the battle has already been won
  • Don’t resent when God wants you to keep waiting
  • Vulnerability is not a weakness
  • Commitment should always come before connection
  • Favor will reveal to you who will be faithful or who will be regretful
  • Favor should deepen your faithfulness
  • Truth is God’s opinion on any matter
  • The revelation you have of Jesus is what determines your life
  • The enemy wants you to go to church, not be the church
  • The church is not a building, it’s the people

“Vulnerability is not weakness…” Ugh! This is a recurring theme in my life right now. Everywhere I go and everyone I talk to is speaking this into my life. I have a huge problem with trusting others and with that the fear of vulnerability. I see myself growing and I thank my Father for that! I love how He uses other people who are clueless to my struggle 🙂

How fun — and sounds like there was a lot of soul food, too. Sometimes we just have to make those last minute decisions and God blesses it.

What a fantastic weekend! Quite a few of the points you shared resonate with me so thank you for that. I’m scheduled to attend Christine Caine’s Unashamed tour with Kari Jobe but I’m not sure that I’ll be in town for it. What dynamic women!

What an amazing weekend! And your church is HUGE! How do you find your friends in that crowd? Our church is growing rapidly so we’ll look like that before long. They’ve already started splitting up our conferences into two locations to fit everyone — which means I don’t have to drive as far but I don’t get to see half of my friends. I’m glad you got so much out of it!

I love going to women’s conferences! I also love how you did a recap of the one-liners. I always come away with so many notes. This is such a great idea. I’m going to keep this in mind. 🙂
