The Year Never Ends

I know I’m not the only one who realizes that 2014 is coming to a close, yet my dreams aren’t fulfilled yet. I have several friends waiting on their dreams and desires who are in a similar situation… still waiting! As December 31st approaches I’m reminded that it’s been another year and we still didn’t receive our breakthrough. I’m wondering how this is even possible, but I know asking why isn’t going to get me anywhere.

While at my girls group a few weeks ago, one of my friends was sharing about us coming up on the end of 2014. She reminded us that although the calendar is changing to a new year, that doesn’t affect the work that God is doing. God isn’t bound by time, because He rules over all eternity. His work doesn’t restart on January 1st, but it continues. While we are waiting, He is working.

I hope this encourages someone else today. God isn’t limited to our timetables and calendars. Just because a new year is upon us, doesn’t mean we won’t receive what we have asked. He is never early or late, but always right on time. Don’t give up on your dreams for God will fulfill them at just the right time.

“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not grow weary.” Galatians 6:9

“This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” Habakkuk 2:3

Yes! What a great truth! God is never slow (2 Peter 3:9) and will work in His timing (Ecclesiastes 8:6). Praying with you!!

Caroline, I know at times it’s hard to continue to have hope—to trust that God’s promises really are true for your situation. It’s so good that you encourage yourself in the Lord during those times. Continue to EXPECT breakthrough! Praying that you’ll have a patient confidence in His very personal love for you and Colby (Hebrews 10:35,36).

I often try to remind myself of this. It doesn’t always work, but I think it’s so important to think about. I’m praying and hoping that 2015 brings you your long-awaited miracle. Your faith is inspiring, thank you.

It is interesting to think what arbitrary timelines or dates we put on things… Like somehow a positive pregnancy test would be more fitting before December 31st. As if somehow that would redeem this year of waiting more than good news on January 1st. I’m definitely guilty of that. I really wanted to match by the end of the year. When everyone told me the holidays are typically slow and things pick up after the new year, I wasn’t encouraged but disappointed.

Praying good news finds us both soon!

God is never late. He is always on time! I love thinking about that. It brings me a lot of peace even when my human mind wants things on my timeline., Praying for a miracle baby soon!

I so needed to hear this! I’m always having to remind myself that just because the “end of the year” is coming up, it’s not the end of God’s works and blessings. I am so grateful that we have a God who is continuously working in our lives each and every day, regardless of what time of year it is!

Such a good reminder… I had a really bad year & glad 2014 is gone… but what a reminder to me that God has worked wonders & set up my future even in the things I didn’t enjoy

I’m in a similar boat, struggling with the fact that we are about to close the book on 2014 and we stil don’t have our miracle. I’m hoping that 2015 will be our year!

I am with ya girl. Sometimes I look back to this year and think…”and how are we not pregnant?” LOL! But you are so right and I’m hoping 2015 is the year I bring home a baby, but if not, that’s okay too. I’ve surrendered to what He wants to do in my life. Love ya sugars! xo

Such a beautiful reminder that the ending of a year does not mean God is done.time is warped when we are going through struggles. As always, your posts are inspiring.

Thank you so much for this. I also have that end of year feeling, and also when a birthday is coming up. So thankful that God’s plans aren’t bound by time though! Thank you for reminding me of that!

God isn’t bound by time. So true. Even though the year is coming to a close, try not to look at it that way Caroline. Because your and Colby’s journey is just beginning. He has so much in store for you guys.
    xoxo
