Colby and I met at our church in 2009. We had both been at the same church for years, but it wasn’t until October 2009 that we connected and started talking. He took me on our first date and it wasn’t long before we knew we wanted to marry each other. After 11 months of dating, we got engaged and just 5 months after that, in April 2011, we got married.
Colby is an accountant and moved to Texas after graduating from Kansas State University. After graduating from Baylor, I worked as a financial analyst for 11 years in the corporate world until I left my company in April 2017 to pursue full-time ministry.
One of our favorite things to do together is travel the world. We {or maybe just me} also love staying active and working out. Colby comes to watch me in my races and he has now participated in two triathlons with me!
We are hopeful that our future will include children soon, but in the mean time we like to make the most of our time together whether it’s sitting on the couch watching football, having a worship dance party or going on an all day hike in another country.

Posted at 15:32h, 01 OctoberHi Caroline, I love your wedding photo and your love story of how you got engaged. Are you in Dallas now? I’ve been a BIG Cowboys fan my entire life. I will get there some day. I guess you aren’t coming to the Allume Blog Conference in a few weeks, that would be far for you (Greenville, SC). Was hoping we would be able to meet. Next one maybe! I follow your blog on Blog lovin.
