{Girls Weekend} In February myself and 9 friends p {Girls Weekend} In February myself and 9 friends purchased tickets to a women’s conference. I had no idea at the time how much I would need a weekend away with Jesus and friends. But the Father did! 😭

If this conference had been any of the last 5 weekends I would have been in caretaking mode and wouldn’t have been able to go.
But God!!! His perfect timing was a setup to bless me with the very thing I needed which was an encounter with Him! 😭 I am so so so grateful for a heart-healing weekend away with friends! 🔥Thank you Lord!
{Birthday Gift} All I wanted for my birthday this {Birthday Gift} All I wanted for my birthday this year was an afternoon pool-side with Colby. It might seem like a silly request, but after the past 4 weeks it felt like a BIG deal. Not only that but this was my first birthday in our new home and ever since I was a little girl I have wanted nothing more than to spend my birthday’s in the pool! 😎💦

Thankfully, my prayer request was answered on Friday when Colby was released at his post-op appointment to swim with me. 🎉 Truly, there are no words. 😭 The day pool-side with my healthy husband was by far the best birthday gift to me. 🎁🥳🎈Thank you Lord for this blessing!
{Date Night} Our monthly date night looked a littl {Date Night} Our monthly date night looked a little different this past Sunday night. After a 3 night hospital stay, way too many doctor’s appointments and Colby still in recovery mode from surgery we decided the best place to have a date night was at home.

Regardless of where our date night was, we knew how important it was for us to feast. Personally I don’t believe the best time to feast is when on the mountaintop. I actually believe it’s when we are in the valley that we need to press in and celebrate, not shrink back in fear.

We read about feasting in the 23rd Psalm. Psalm 23:5 says, “You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.” The Father prepares the table for us; it’s our job to partake in the feast.

So why feast? For us, feasting in front of the enemy was a prophetic act of claiming victory. It was our way of drawing a line in the sand declaring that no doctor’s report or diagnosis had the authority over God’s plans for our future. And it helped shift the environment from fear and dread to faith and expectation.

This table where we sat to eat was delayed for several reasons. Yet perhaps what felt like a delay to us was the Lord orchestrating the very day we needed it. It was delivered the day we received our pathology results and if there is ever a time to feast, it’s the day you receive pathology confirming cancer and the day before chemo starts. Our chairs were also delayed which was okay with me. “You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.” The enemy didn’t even deserve a chair. Instead he was given a spot on the floor where he watched us feast. Hopefully for him he finally realized he had lost the battle — victory is ours.

PS. @Therejoicehome built this table for us. I told him my vision and he executed the exact thing I wanted. And it’s name? “The Colby” in honor of Colby. I can’t wait for future customers who purchase “The Colby” to hear the victorious turnaround testimony of victory, and specifically how we chose to feast in the middle of the fire.

PPS. Not pictured is the amazing food we ate from True Food Kitchen thanks to so many of you who sent gift cards.

{Resurrection Day} Thank you Jesus. Thank you for {Resurrection Day} Thank you Jesus. Thank you for the cross. Thank you for taking our sin and sickness so we could be declared righteous and healed. Thank you for instilling in us resurrection power. Thank you that you gave it all for us! I can’t quite come up with words to describe the magnitude of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus so I’ll just continue to declare thank you, thank you, thank you! We thank you Lord! 😭🙌🏼

{11 Year Anniversary} Today Colby and I are celebr {11 Year Anniversary} Today Colby and I are celebrating 11 years since “I do.”

To say these 11 years look different than what we originally planned would be an understatement for sure. Never, ever would I have imagined we would be in year 10 of believing for babies, both of us would have quit our jobs, we would be involved in ministry and MORE. Let’s just call the past 11 years an adventure!!! 🤪

Truly, although it wasn’t what we planned I can’t imagine it any other way. Our trials have most definitely refined us in the best way possible! Not only are we closer to each other because of them, but we are closer to Christ too! When I reflect back on the 11 years what comes to mind is Ephesians 3:20 — God truly has blessed us immeasurably more than we could have asked or imagined. And He blessed me with the most amazing husband to be on this adventure with!

Colby has made marriage so wonderful and I know the only reason he is able to daily smother me with love is because he fills himself first with the Father’s love. I am so thankful to have such a steadfast man by my side, always walking in faith and always seeking the truth!

Happy 11 year anniversary @agreatshout. Can’t wait to see what adventures come next. Thankful to be on this wild ride with you! 💥

PS. Swipe to see pictures from our 10 year photoshoot and our wedding day.

PPS. If you are married how many years are you celebrating in 2022? 👰🏻‍♀️🤵‍♂️
