Arizona Date

Colby and I got back on Tuesday from a 5 day date to Arizona. It was such a good getaway! Besides the fires in Sedona changing our plans, we had great weather and a wonderful time together. We hiked every day and the hikes in Phoenix were no joke – no one warned me it was boulder hiking and straight up (at least it seemed that way)! Although Grand Canyon was the longest hike we did (8 miles) it was definitely the easiest – and also the most picturesque. There is something about nature and the beauty of the earth that leaves me in awe. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

Listen here Twiny! While I enjoyed seeing your pictures, you are FAR too CLOSE to the edge!! I was a freakin’ nervous wreck over here!! I’m scared of heights and falling so naturally I started to hyperventilate as I screamed at my computer screen for you to move away from the edge! lol! Have a great weekend!

What great photos, Caroline!! Y’all did a lot of hiking! 🙂 Love it. We love Arizona! I’ve done some of the Phoenix ones with Kevin recently. My friend used to live in Flagstaff and so I went to see her a few times and we did the Grand Canyon and Walnut Canyon ones. And you are just gorgeous! Glad y’all got some time away together!

Love the pics. The Grand Canyon has always looked Surreal to me!! It’s like I’m seeing it but it looks so unrealistic. Haven’t been there since I was a teenager but I sure remember it being beautiful!

Whoa!! Such a pretty area- I’ve never been. And I’m not going to go if there’s people as cute as you hiking around. You should look way grosser after hiking in all that sun. 😉 Also, pretty sure you need at least a week in the Caribbean to sip mojitos and recover from all that exercise!!! 🙂

Visiting from the Jack of All Trades Link-Up and I’m so glad I got to come to your blog today! When I was in high school, I went on my very first mission trip to Arizona! I LOVED it! Then, the second year we went, we got to visit the Grand Canyon! I never thought I would get to see that place in person, but it became one of my favorites! The views are so picturesque and it looks like a painting! I would love to go back again and hike throughout it! Love your photos!
