24 May Celebrating 7 Years of Blogging!

April 8th marked 7 years of blogging for me! Clearly I’m a month late to posting, but I figured it was still worthy of celebrating, right?

If you haven’t picked up a copy of my book, then you might not know why me, the financial guru, started blogging. The short story is a week after our infertility diagnosis God told me to start a blog.

This whole writing journey has been a huge step of faith and a leap way out of my comfort zone, but by the grace of God, here I am 7 years later, still blogging 3-4 days a week. I am forever grateful for all the blessings blogging has brought along the way. And although there have been many blessings along the way, there have been many challenges too.

The challenges are the endless hours. Hours and hours and more hours. I will be honest, I struggle with wondering if all the time I spend is worth it. And I struggle with the amount of readers I have lost and the persecution that has come due to the fact that I refuse to sugar-coat the truth.

At the end of the day, I always live by this rule and this what keeps me going: If it’s for one person, then it’s worth it. If I spend 5 hours working on one post for one person to read it, then it’s worth it. If I spent over a year writing my book for one person, then it was worth it.

I can’t share the challenges without also sharing the blessings. The biggest blessing? It’s you! It’s the friendships and connections I have made with people from all over the world. My readers and followers are the ones who have made this blogging journey possible and worth it. Whether this is the first time you have stopped by or you have been here since the beginning, I want to say thank you. Thank you for investing in me and this blog.

So let’s cheers to another year! I have no idea what the next year will bring, but I am expectant an excited to see everything it holds.
